Supporting Targeted Protein Degradation Research

Targeted Protein Degradation (TPD) is a simple and versatile method to knock-down a target protein of interest using small molecules (including PROTAC® Degraders, SNIPERS, molecular glues etc.) and is an area of increasing research interest. The PROTAC Degraders approach employs small molecules, which simultaneously bind to the target protein of interest and an E3 ligase to form a ternary complex. This initiates the ubiquitination of the target protein and its subsequent destruction by the proteasome. Using this technology, efficient and highly selective protein knock-down can be achieved both in vitro and in vivo.

This brochure highlights the tools and services available from Bio-Techne to support your Targeted Protein Degradation and Induced Proximity research:

  • Tools for target validation and exploration, including a wide range of active Degraders and the TAG Degradation Platform (dTAG, aTAG and BromoTag®)
  • Products and services to facilitate design and synthesis of your own Degraders, including Degrader Building Blocks and our online PROTAC® Panel Builder tool
  • Assays for Degrader development and analysis of downstream effects (including TR-FRET/FP and Simple WesternTM , automated western blotting instruments to monitor degradation of protein)
  • Protein Degraders, validated antibodies and reagents
  • Tools for Induced Proximity research.
