L-15 (Leibovitz), 25 mM HEPES, no glutamine

Leibovitz’s L-15 Medium was formulated for use in a carbon dioxide (CO₂) free environment. It contains no sodium bicarbonate, and is buffered by phosphates, free base amino acids, and galactose instead. L-15 (Leibovitz) supports the proliferation of many established cell lines and primary cells. L-15 is offered with HEPES buffer for a more effective buffering capacity.

Each lot of L-15 is prepared from powdered base medium, tissue culture-grade water, and is sterile filtered using a 0.2 micron filter. Representative samples of each lot of L-15 are tested to confirm the absence of bacterial or fungal contamination using methods adapted from the current U.S. Pharmacopeia. L-15 is manufactured in our ISO 9001:2015 certified facility.
