INTENDED USE AND DESCRIPTION: For use a quantitative control for the determination of human CCL8/MCP-2 concentrations in biological fluids. Controls are supplied lyophilized. MCP-2 is a CC chemokine subfamily monocyte chemotactic protein. MCP-2 also chemoattracts activated NK cells, CD4+ and CD8+ T lymphocytes, and eosinophils and can induce histamine secretion from basophils. MCP-2 shares 62% amino acid sequence identity with MCP-1 and 58% with MCP-3.

Storage
• Store lyophilized controls at 2-8 °C. Lyophilized controls are stable for up to 12 months from date of receipt. • Reconstituted controls are stable for up to 6 months from date of preparation when stored at ≤ -70 °C. Storage at -20° C is not recommended. • Individual frozen aliquots of low and high controls are designed as single-use entities. Thaw directly before use and discard any remaining volume.
