INTENDED USE AND DESCRIPTION: For use a quantitative control for the determination of human Fibroblast Activation Protein alpha/FAP concentrations in biological fluids. FAP (fibroblast activation protein-alpha; also known as seprase) is a type II transmembrane serine protease that degrades gelatin, Type I collagen, and N-terminal prolines. FAP is induced on reactive stromal fibroblasts in epithelial cancers, sarcomas, and granulation tissue, and may play roles in tumor invasion, tissue remodeling, and wound repair.

Storage

• Store lyophilized controls at 2-8 °C. Lyophilized controls are stable for up to 12 months from date of receipt.
• Reconstituted controls are stable for up to 6 months from date of preparation when stored at ≤ -70 °C. Storage at -20° C is not recommended.
• Individual frozen aliquots of low and high controls are designed as single-use entities. Thaw directly before use and discard any remaining volume.
