The FKBP10 gene encodes for a 582 amino acid long, 64 kDA peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase FKBP10 protein that accelerates the folding of proteins during synthesis through localizing to the endoplasmic reticulum and functioning as a molecular chaperone. FKBP10 is known to interact with various genes such as SLX1A, SLX1B, ELN, SLC2A4, and H2AFX.
