Bands at ~190kDa represent ankyrin 3 splice variants, higher molecular weight bands at 270kDa and 480kDa can be seen on longer exposure. Following transcardial perfusion of rat with 4% paraformaldehyde, brain was post fixed for 24 hours, cut to 45uM, and free-floating sections were stained with above antibodies.
