Scientific Data Images for Aromatase Antibody (1H1)
Immunohistochemistry: Aromatase Antibody (1H1) [NBP3-26636] -
Immunohistochemistry: Aromatase Antibody (1H1) [NBP3-26636] - Image of Aromatase Antibody (1H1) diluted at 1:230 and staining in paraffin-embedded human placenta tissue performed. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4C overnight. The primary is detected by a biotinylated secondary antibody and visualized using an HRP conjugated SP system.Western Blot: Aromatase Antibody (1H1) [NBP3-26636] -
Western Blot: Aromatase Antibody (1H1) [NBP3-26636] - Positive Western Blot detected in: HepG2 whole cell lysate, Jurkat whole cell lysate, 293 whole cell lysate, SH-SY5Y whole cell lysate, U87 whole cell lysate, K562 whole cell lysate. All lanes: Aromatase Antibody at 2.3ug/ml.
Secondary: Goat polyclonal to rabbit IgG at 1/50000 dilution.
Predicted band size: 58, 25 KDa
Observed band size: 58 KDa
Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: Aromatase Antibody (1H1) [NBP3-26636] -
Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: Aromatase Antibody (1H1) [NBP3-26636] - Staining of HepG2 cells with Aromatase Antibody (1H1) at 1:76, counter-stained with DAPI. The cells were fixed in 4% formaldehyde, permeabilized using 0.2% Triton X-100 and blocked in 10% normal Goat Serum. The cells were then incubated with the antibody overnight at 4C. The secondary antibody was Alexa Fluor 488-conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L).Applications for Aromatase Antibody (1H1)

Background: Aromatase
Aromatase is localized in the endoplasmic reticulum of the cell and its activity is regulated by tissue specific promoters that are in turn controlled by hormones, cytokines, and other factors. It can be found in many tissues reproductive tissues including gonads, brain, adipose tissue, placenta, blood vessels, skin, bone, endometrium as well as in tissue of endometriosis, uterine fibroids, breast cancer, and endometrial cancer.
Many environmental chemicals may influence aromatase activity and thereby disrupt endocrine function. The activity is increased by environmental factors such as age, obesity, insulin, gonadotropins, and alcohol but decreased by prolactin, anti-m llerian hormone, and smoking.
