CBX1 Antibody (RAB-C145) - Chimeric - Azide and BSA Free

Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: CBX1 Antibody (RAB-C145) - Chimeric - Azide and BSA Free [NBP3-20129] -

Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: CBX1 Antibody (RAB-C145) - Chimeric - Azide and BSA Free [NBP3-20129] - Immunofluorescence analysis of paraformaldehyde fixed HeLa cells on Shi-fix(TM) coverslips stained with the chimeric rabbit IgG version of RAB-C145 (NBP3-20129) at 10 ug/ml for 1h followed by Alexa Fluor(R) 488 secondary antibody (2 ug/ml), showing membrane staining. The nuclear stain is DAPI (blue) and the actin stain is phalloidin (red). Panels show from left-right, top-bottom NBP3-20129, DAPI, merged channels and an isotype control. The isotype control was an unknown specificity antibody followed by staining with Alexa Fluor(R) 488 secondary antibody.

Western Blot: CBX1 Antibody (RAB-C145) - Chimeric - Azide and BSA Free [NBP3-20129] -

Western Blot: CBX1 Antibody (RAB-C145) - Chimeric - Azide and BSA Free [NBP3-20129] - Nuclear lysates of HeLa(A) (0.3ug/ml), HEK293(B) (0.3ug/ml) and MCF7(C) (0.1ug/ml) (35ug protein in RIPA buffer) were resolved on a SDS PAGE gel and blots were probed with the chimeric rabbit version of RAB-C145 (NBP3-20129) before detection using an anti-rabbit secondary antibody. A primary incubation of 1h was used and protein was detected by chemiluminescence.
CBX1 Antibody (RAB-C145) - Chimeric - Azide and BSA Free

Flow Cytometry: CBX1 Antibody (RAB-C145) - Chimeric - Azide and BSA Free [NBP3-20129] -

Flow Cytometry: CBX1 Antibody (RAB-C145) - Chimeric - Azide and BSA Free [NBP3-20129] - HeLa cells were fixed using 2% PFA and stained with anti-unknown specificity antibody (isotype control, black line) or the rabbit IgG1 version of RAB-C145 (NBP3-20129, blue line) at a dilution of 1:100 for 1h at RT. After washing, the bound antibody was detected using a goat anti-rabbit IgG AlexaFluor(R) 488 antibody at a dilution of 1:1000 and cells analyzed using a FACSCanto flow-cytometer.

Background: CBX1

HP1 gamma appears to be involved in transcriptional silencing in heterochromatin-like complexes. It recognizes and binds histone H3 tails methylated at 'Lys-9', leading to epigenetic repression. HP1 gamma may contribute to the association of the heterochromatin with the inner nuclear membrane through its interaction with lamin B receptor (LBR) and involved in the formation of functional kinetochore through interaction with MIS12 complex proteins.
