Description

CoraFluor(TM) 1 is a high performance terbium-based TR-FRET (Time-Resolved Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer) or TRF (Time-Resolved Fluorescence) donor for high throughput assay development. CoraFluor(IM) 1 absorbs UV light at approximately 340 nm, and emits at approximately 490 nm, 545 nm, 585 nm and 620 nm. It is compatible with common acceptor dyes that absorb at the emission wavelengths of CoraFluor(TM) 1. CoraFluor(TM) 1 can be used for the development of robust and scalable TR-FRET binding assays such as target engagement, ternary complex, protein-protein interaction and protein quantification assays.

Background: CCR6

CCR6 is a member of the beta chemokine receptor family, which is predicted to be a seven transmembrane protein similar to G protein coupled receptors. It is preferentially expressed by immature dendritic cells and memory T cells. The ligand of this receptor is macrophage inflammatory protein 3 alpha (MIP 3 alpha). This receptor has been shown to be important for B lineage maturation and antigen driven B cell differentiation, and it may regulate the migration and recruitment of dentritic and T cells during inflammatory and immunological responses. CCR6 has been reported to be expressed in intestine, colon, liver, lymph node, spleen, lung, blood, umbilical cord, placenta, skin, and pancreas. It has also been reported to be expressed in lymphocytes, T cells, and B cells.
