Immunogen

This antibody was originally raised by immunizing BALB/c mice with ovarian carcinoma cell line OTN11.

Specificity

This antibody recognizes cytokeratin-7. Cytokeratins are a subfamily of intermediate filament proteins but this antibody does not recognize other intermediate filament proteins. The antibody reacts with proteins that are found in most ductal, glandular, transitional, and biliary duct epithelial cells.

Western Blot: Cytokeratin 7 Antibody (OV-TL 12/30) - Chimeric [NBP3-12014] - HeLa(A) (0.00001ug/ml), HepG2(B) (0.0003ug/ml) and A549(C) (0.00001ug/ml) cell lysate and human thyroid(D) (0.0003ug/ml) and human placenta(E) (0.00001ug/ml) tissue lysate (35ug protein in RIPA buffer) was resolved on a SDS PAGE gel and blots were probed with the chimeric rabbit version of OV-TL 12/30 (NBP3-12014) before detection using an anti-rabbit secondary antibody. A primary incubation of 1h was used and protein was detected by chemiluminescence.

Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: Cytokeratin 7 Antibody (OV-TL 12/30) - Chimeric [NBP3-12014] - Immunofluorescence analysis of paraformaldehyde fixed HeLa cells on Shi-fix(TM) coverslips stained with the chimeric rabbit IgG version of OV-TL 12/30 (NBP3-12014) at 10 ug/ml for 1h followed by Alexa Fluor(R) 488 secondary antibody (2 ug/ml), showing membrane staining. The nuclear stain is DAPI (blue). Panels show from left-right, top-bottom NBP3-12014, DAPI, merged channels and an isotype control. The isotype control was an unknown specificity antibody followed by staining with Alexa Fluor(R) 488 secondary antibody.
