Product Summary for DRAM Antibody [CoraFluor™ 1]

Immunogen

Antibody was raised against a peptide corresponding to 16 amino acids near the amino terminus of human DRAM. The immunogen is located within amino acids 30-80 of DRAM. Amino Acid Sequence: LPYISDTGTTPPESGI

Specificity

Human DRAM has 2 isoforms, including isoform 1 (238aa, 26kD) and isoform 2 (128aa, 14kD). Mouse DRAM also has 2 isoforms, including isoform 1 (238aa, 26kD) and isoform 2 (132aa, 15kD). Rat DRAM has only one isoform (238aa, 26kD). NBP1-76759 can detect both human isoforms , and also detect mouse and rat.

Description

CoraFluor(TM) 1 is a high performance terbium-based TR-FRET (Time-Resolved Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer) or TRF (Time-Resolved Fluorescence) donor for high throughput assay development. CoraFluor(IM) 1 absorbs UV light at approximately 340 nm, and emits at approximately 490 nm, 545 nm, 585 nm and 620 nm. It is compatible with common acceptor dyes that absorb at the emission wavelengths of CoraFluor(TM) 1. CoraFluor(TM) 1 can be used for the development of robust and scalable TR-FRET binding assays such as target engagement, ternary complex, protein-protein interaction and protein quantification assays.

Background: DRAM

DRAM is regulated as part of the p53 tumor suppressor pathway. The gene encodes a lysosomal membrane protein that is required for the induction of autophagy by the pathway. Decreased transcriptional expression of this gene is associated with various tumors. This gene has a pseudogene on chromosome 4.; Lysosomal modulator of autophagy that plays a central role in p53/TP53-mediated apoptosis. Not involved in p73/TP73-mediated autophagy.
