Scientific Data Images for EAAT2/GLT1 Antibody

Western Blot: EAAT2/GLT1 Antibody [NBP3-13348]

Western Blot: EAAT2/GLT1 Antibody [NBP3-13348]

Western Blot: EAAT2/GLT1 Antibody [NBP3-13348] - Various tissue extracts (50 ug) were separated by 7.5% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with EAAT2/GLT1 antibody (NBP3-13348) diluted at 1:1000. The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody (NBP2-19301) was used to detect the primary antibody.
Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin: EAAT2/GLT1 Antibody [NBP3-13348]

Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin: EAAT2/GLT1 Antibody [NBP3-13348]

Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin: EAAT2/GLT1 Antibody [NBP3-13348] - EAAT2/GLT1 antibody detects EAAT2/GLT1 protein at cell membrane by immunohistochemical analysis. Sample: Paraffin-embedded mouse hippocampus. EAAT2/GLT1 stained by EAAT2/GLT1 antibody (NBP3-13348) diluted at 1:500. Antigen Retrieval: Citrate buffer, pH 6.0, 15 min

Background: EAAT2/GLT1

GLT1 is the major glial glutamate transporter that takes up more than 90% of glutamate from the synapse. GLT1b is a splice variant that contains 11 unique amino acids at the C-terminus that encode a PDZ binding domain. GLT1b was initially believed to be the neuronal isoform of GLT1, but it now appears that GLT1b is localized to astrocytes in the normal brain and to neurons in pathological conditions. In Lou Gehrig's Disease, GLT1a is decreased, while GLT1b is increased. There are also different expressions in hypoxic cells, which have not yet been fully elucidated.
