Western Blot: HECTD1 Antibody [NBP1-49925]

Western Blot: HECTD1 Antibody [NBP1-49925]

Western Blot: HECTD1 Antibody [NBP1-49925] - Samples: Whole cell lysate from HeLa (5, 15 and 50 ug for WB; 1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) and 293T (T; 50 ug) cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-HECTD1 antibody NBP1-49925 used for WB at 0.1 ug/ml (A) and 1 ug/ml (B) and used for IP at 3 ug/mg lysate. HECTD1 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-HECTD1 antibody NBP1-49926, which recognizes a downstream epitope. Detection: Chemiluminescence with exposure times of 3 minutes (A and B).

Background: HECTD1

The HECTD1 gene encodes a2, 610 amino acid long, 298 kDA E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase HECTD1 protein that accepts ubiquitin from an E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme in the form of a thioester. It then directly transmits the ubiquitin to targeted substrates and may be essential for development of the head mesenchyme and neural tube closure. HECTD1 interacts in interferon signaling and cytokine signaling in the immune system and is known to interact with various genes such as NME2, ERCC2, PITX2, CCNA2, and NME1-NME2. HECTD1 has been investigated in many diseases such as angelman syndrome, teratoma, carcinoma, malaria, and influenza.
