Detection of Myogenin antibody in C2C12 Mouse Cell Line antibody by Flow Cytometry.

Detection of Myogenin in C2C12 cells by Flow Cytometry.

C2C12 cells were stained with Mouse Anti-Human/Mouse Myogenin Alexa Fluor® 488-conjugated Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # IC6686G, filled histogram) or isotype control antibody (Catalog # IC002G, open histogram). To facilitate intracellular staining, cells were fixed and permeabilized with FlowX FoxP3 Fixation & Permeabilization Buffer Kit (Catalog # FC012). Background: Myogenin

Myogenin, also known as MYF4, is a 34 kDa, 224 amino acid (aa) basic-HLH transcription factor member of the Myogenic Regulatory Factor (MRF) family. It induces fibroblastic differentiation to myoblasts and is expressed most highly early in the skeletal muscle differentiation process. Within the region used as an immunogen, human myogenin shares 93% and 91% aa sequence identity with mouse and rat myogenin, respectively. Isoforms may exist that diverge at aa 155 (246 aa form) or that are truncated at aa 215.
