Scientific Data Images for Human/Mouse/Rat FABP2/I-FABP Antibody
Detection of Human, Mouse, and Rat FABP2/I-FABP by Western Blot.
Western blot shows lysates of human small intestine tissue, mouse small intestine tissue, and rat small intestine tissue. PVDF membrane was probed with 0.5 µg/mL of Mouse Anti-Human/Mouse/Rat FABP2/I-FABP Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB30782) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF018). A specific band was detected for FABP2/I-FABP at approximately 15 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.FABP2/I‑FABP in Human Small Intestine.
FABP2/I-FABP was detected in immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of human small intestine using Mouse Anti-Human/Mouse/Rat FABP2/I-FABP Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB30782) at 5 µg/mL for 1 hour at room temperature followed by incubation with the Anti-Mouse IgG VisUCyte™ HRP Polymer Antibody (Catalog # VC001). Tissue was stained using DAB (brown) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). Specific staining was localized to cytoplasm in epithelial cells. Background: FABP2/I-FABP
Intestinal Fatty Acid Binding Protein (FABP2), also known as I-FABP or gFABP is a member of the fatty acid binding protein family of intracellular proteins. FABP2 is only expressed in intestine, and it mediates the absorption and intracellular transport of dietary long-chain fatty acids. Genetic variation of FABP2 is implicated in obesity and Type II diabetes.
Long Name
Fatty Acid-Binding Protein 2/Intestinal FABP
