Detects human, mouse, and rat GDF-8 in direct ELISAs and Western blots. In Western blots, this antibody shows approximately 30% cross-reactivity with recombinant human/mouse/rat GDF-11. In direct ELISAs, this antibody shows less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse (rm) GDF-1, rmGDF-3, rmGDF-5, rmGDF-6, and rmGDF-9.
