Scientific Data Images for Human Osteocalcin Antibody

Detection of Osteocalcin in SAOS-2 cells by Flow Cytometry.

SAOS-2 cells were stained with Mouse Anti-Human Osteocalcin Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB113272, filled histogram) or isotype control antibody (Catalog # MAB0041, open histogram), followed by Phycoerythrin-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # F0102B). To facilitate intracellular staining, cells were fixed and permeabilized with Flow Cytometry Fixation Buffer (Catalog # FC004). View our protocol for Staining Intracellular Molecules.

Background: Osteocalcin

Osteocalcin, also known as Bone gamma-Carboxyglutamic Acid Protein, is a secreted protein whose expression is restricted to cells of the osteoblast lineage (1). It has been frequently used as a marker for osteoblast lineage cells.
