Immunogen

This IgG fraction IL-29/IFN-lambda 1 Antibody was prepared from rabbit antiserum after repeated immunizations with mature length recombinant human IL-29/IFN-lambda 1/IFN-lambda 1 protein produced in E.coli. (Uniprot: Q8IU54)

Reactivity Notes

A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with IL-29/IFN-lambda 1 from human sources based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Based on high to 100% homology, there is a chance of cross-reactivity to IL-29/IFN-lambda 1 from a wide variety of animals. Cross-reactivity with IL-29/IFN-lambda 1 from other sources has not been determined.

Description

This antibody is an IgG fraction antibody purified from monospecific antiserum by a multi-step process which includes delipidation, salt fractionation and ion exchange chromatography followed by extensive dialysis against the buffer stated above

Store this antibody at 4C prior to restoration. For extended storage aliquot contents and freeze at -20C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.

Scientific Data Images for IL-29/IFN-lambda 1 Antibody

Western Blot: IL-29/IFN-lambda 1 Antibody [NBP1-77893]

Western Blot: IL-29/IFN-lambda 1 Antibody [NBP1-77893]

Western Blot: IL-29/IFN-lambda 1 Antibody [NBP1-77893] - Shows detection of recombinant human IL-29 raised in E.coli. Recombinant protein (0.1 ug, 19.9 kDa) was loaded onto and resolved by SDS-PAGE, then transferred to nitrocellulose. The membrane was blocked with 1% BSA in TBST for 30 min at RT, followed by incubation with Anti-Human IL-29. After washing, membrane was probed with secondary antibody DyLight (TM) 649 conjugated Anti-Rabbit IgG (H&L) (Goat) Antibody diluted 1:20,000 in blocking buffer for 30 min. at RT.

Background: IL-29/IFN-lambda 1

IL-29 (Interleukin-29) is a secreted cytokine with immunomodulatory activity. It may play a role in antiviral immunity. It up-regulates MHC class I antigen expression. IL-29 is a ligand for the heterodimeric class II cytokine receptor composed of IL10RB and IL28RA. The ligand/receptor complex seems to signal through the Jak-STAT pathway. Its induction is by viral infections or double stranded RNA.
