Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: IL-9R Antibody (AH9R2) - Chimeric [NBP3-12033] - Immunofluorescence analysis of paraformaldehyde fixed Jurkat cells immobilized on Shi-fix(TM) cover-slips and stained with the chimeric rabbit IgG version of AH9R2 (NBP3-12033) at 10 ug/ml followed by Alexa Fluor(R) 488 secondary antibody (2 ug/ml), showing membrane staining. The nuclear stain is DAPI (blue). Panels show from left-right, top-bottom NBP3-12033, DAPI, merged channels and an isotype control. The isotype control was stained with anti-Fluorescein antibody (NBP2-52638) followed by Alexa Fluor(R) 488 secondary antibody.

Flow Cytometry: IL-9R Antibody (AH9R2) - Chimeric [NBP3-12033] - Jurkat cells were fixed using 2% PFA, permeabilised using 0.5% Triton and stained with anti-Fluorescein IgG antibody (4-4-20; isotype control, black line) or the rabbit IgG1 version of HB-8592 (NBP3-12033, blue line) at a dilution of 1:100 for 1h at RT. After washing, bound antibody was detected using a goat anti-mouse IgG AlexaFluor(R) 488 antibody at a dilution of 1:1000 and cells analyzed using a FACSCanto flow-cytometer.

Background: IL-9R

The protein encoded by the IL9R gene is a cytokine receptor that specifically mediates the biological effects ofinterleukin 9 (IL9). The functional IL9 receptor complex requires this protein as well as the interleukin 2 receptor, gamma (IL2RG), a common gamma subunit shared by the receptors of many different cytokines. The ligand binding of thisreceptor leads to the activation of various JAK kinases and STAT proteins, which connect to different biologicresponses. This gene is located at the pseudoautosomal regions of X and Y chromosomes. Genetic studies suggested anassociation of this gene with the development of asthma. Multiple pseudogenes on chromosome 9, 10, 16, and 18 havebeen described. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. (provided by RefSeq)
