Product Summary

Immunogen

Recombinant Melanoma Marker (MART-1 + Tyrosinase + gp100) protein (M2-7C10; M2-9E3); Recombinant tyrosinase protein (T311); Extract of pigmented melanoma metastases from lymph nodes (HMB45)

Localization

Cytoplasmic

Specificity

This antibody cocktail recognizes three melanoma-specific proteins, which include MART-1, Tyrosinase and gp100. MART-1 is a newly identified melanocyte differentiation antigen recognized by autologous cytotoxic T lymphocytes. Tyrosinase is one of the targets for cytotoxic T-cell recognition in melanoma patients. Function of gp100 is not known but it is reported to be a useful marker for melanocytes and melanomas. This cocktail of three markers is designed for extremely sensitive labeling of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded melanomas and other tumors showing melanocytic differentiation.

Description

CoraFluor(TM) 1 is a high performance terbium-based TR-FRET (Time-Resolved Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer) or TRF (Time-Resolved Fluorescence) donor for high throughput assay development. CoraFluor(IM) 1 absorbs UV light at approximately 340 nm, and emits at approximately 490 nm, 545 nm, 585 nm and 620 nm. It is compatible with common acceptor dyes that absorb at the emission wavelengths of CoraFluor(TM) 1. CoraFluor(TM) 1 can be used for the development of robust and scalable TR-FRET binding assays such as target engagement, ternary complex, protein-protein interaction and protein quantification assays.
