Scientific Data Images for Mouse IkB-epsilon Antibody
Detection of Mouse IkB-epsilon by Western Blot.
Western blot shows lysates of DA3 mouse myeloma cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Mouse IkB-e Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF4637) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Sheep IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF016). A specific band was detected for IkB-e at approximately 48 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.Applications for Mouse IkB-epsilon Antibody

Background: IkB-epsilon
NF kappaB inhibitor epsilon (IkB-epsilon) inhibits the NF kappaB complex by binding and sequestering it in the cytoplasm. Upon stimulation, IkB-epsilon is phosphorylated on serine residues marking it for degradation by the ubiquitin pathway. Following IkB-epsilon degradation, the NF kappaB complex is able to translocate to the nucleus and activate transcription.
