Scientific Data Images for MRCK Antibody

Immunoprecipitation: MRCK Antibody [NBP1-46823]

Immunoprecipitation: MRCK Antibody [NBP1-46823]

Immunoprecipitation: MRCK Antibody [NBP1-46823] - Samples: Whole cell lysate (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-MRCK antibody NBP1-46823 used for IP at 3 ug/mg lysate. MRCK was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-MRCK antibody NBP1-46822, which recognizes an upstream epitope. For blotting immunoprecipitated MRC, NBP1-46822 was used at 1 ug/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 10 seconds.

Immunoprecipitation: MRCK Antibody [NBP1-46823]

Immunoprecipitation: MRCK Antibody [NBP1-46823] - Samples: Whole cell lysate from HeLa (5, 15 and 50 ug for WB; 1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) and 293T (T; 50 ug) cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-TORC3 antibody used for WB at 0.04 ug/ml (A) and 0.4 ug/ml (B) and used for IP at 3 ug/mg lysate. TORC3 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-TORC3 antibody, which recognizes an upstream epitope. Detection: Chemiluminescence with exposure times of 10 seconds (A) and 3 seconds (B).

Background: MRCK

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the Serine/Threonine protein kinase family. This kinase contains multiple functional domains. Its kinase domain is highly similar to that of the myotonic dystrophy protein kinase (DMPK). This kinase also contains a Rac interactive binding (CRIB) domain, and has been shown to bind CDC42. It may function as a CDC42 downstream effector mediating CDC42 induced peripheral actin formation, and promoting cytoskeletal reorganization. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described, and the full-length nature of two of them has been reported.

Alternate Names

CDC42 binding protein kinase alpha (DMPK-like), CDC42 binidng protein kinase beta, CDC42-binding protein kinase alpha, CDC42-binding protein kinase alpha (DMPK-like), DMPK-like alpha, EC 2.7.11, EC 2.7.11.1, KIAA0451DKFZp686L1738, MRCK, MRCK alpha, MRCKADKFZp686P1738, Myotonic dystrophy kinase-related CDC42-binding kinase alpha, myotonic dystrophy kinase-related CDC42-binding protein kinase alpha, Myotonic dystrophy protein kinase-like alpha, PK428FLJ23347, serine/threonine-protein kinase MRCK alpha, ser-thr protein kinase PK428, ser-thr protein kinase related to the myotonic dystrophy protein kinase
