Cells were fixed with 4% PFA, permeabilzed with 0.1% Triton X-100 in PBS,blocked with 10% serum, and incubated with rabbit anti-Human MRPL9 polyclonal antibody (dilution ratio 1:200) at 4 degrees celsius overnight. Then cells were stained with the Alexa Fluor (TM) 488-conjugated Goat Anti-rabbit IgG secondary antibody (green) and counterstained with DAPI (blue).Positive staining was localized to Cytoplasm.

Background: MRPL9

MRPL9, also known as Mitochondrial Ribosomal Protein L9, consists of a 267 amino acid isoform that is 30 kDa, and is involved in the manufacture of proteins within the mitochondria. Current disease research is working to determine the relationship between MRPL9 and obesity. MRPL9 has been linked to the process of translation, where it interacts with CA12, ICT1, SAT1, SLX4, and MRPL11.
