Western Blot: NCOR1 Antibody [NB100-58824]

Western Blot: NCOR1 Antibody [NB100-58824] - Whole cell lysate (50 ug) from HEK293T, K-562, and NIH 3T3 cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibody: Affinity purified rabbit anti-NCoR antibodyused for WB at 0.1 ug/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 3minutes.
Chromatin Immunoprecipitation Sequencing: NCOR1 Antibody [NB100-58824] - Localization of NCoR Binding Sites by ChIP-sequencing. Chromatin from K562 cells was immunoprecipitated with anti-NCoR antibody NB100-58824 and analyzed by DNA sequencing. The figure illustrates the peak distribution of NCoR binding within a 650 Kb region of the human X chromosome as detected using anti-NCoR antibody NB100-58824. ChIP-seq validation performed by Diogenode, Denville, NJ.

Background: NCOR1

This gene encodes a protein that mediates ligand-independent transcription repression of thyroid-hormone and retinoic-acid receptors by promoting chromatin condensation and preventing access of the transcription machinery. It is part of a complex which also includes histone deacetylases and transcriptional regulators similar to the yeast protein Sin3p. This gene is located between the Charcot-Marie-Tooth and Smith-Magenis syndrome critical regions on chromosome 17. An alternatively spliced transcript variant has been described, but its full length sequence has not been determined.
