For blotting immunoprecipitated Paf1, NB600-274 Lot 2 was used at 1 ug/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time 30 seconds.

Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator. Prepare working dilution immediately before use. For better Western Blot antibody see NB 600-273 instead. Epitope retrieval with citrate buffer pH6.0 is recommended for FFPE tissue sections.

Background: PAF1

Paf1 has been shown to form a complex with Rtf1, Ctr9, Cdc73, and Leo1 in yeast that may mediate the interaction between the elongation factor Spt16/Pob3 (FACT in humans) and RNA polymerase II. This mediation suggests that this complex may have an important role in transcription elongation, thereby suggesting that Paf1, Rtf1, Ctr9, Cdc73 and Leo1 may be elongation factors.
