Background: PRRG3

The PRRG3 gene encodes a 231 amino acid long, 25 kDA transmembrane gamma-carboxyglutamic acid protein 3 that contains a K-dependent carboxylation.gamma-carboxyglutamic domain because the protein belongs to a family of vitamin K-dependent transmembrane proteins. This family of proteins is characterized by obtaining glutamate-rich extracellular domains. The PRRG3 gene has been linked to myopia.
