Immunoprecipitation: PTIP Antibody [NB100-577]

Immunoprecipitation: PTIP Antibody [NB100-577] - Detection of human PTIP by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from HEK293T cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-PTIP antibody NB100-577 used for IP at 3 ug per reaction. PTIP was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-PTIP antibody from Company B. For blotting immunoprecipitated PTIP, NB100-577 was used at 1 ug/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 3 minutes.

Background: PTIP

PTIP facilitates ATM-mediated activation of p53 and promotes cellular resistance to ionizing radiation. Tandem BRCT (BRCA1 carboxyl-terminal) domains in PTIP and in BRCA1 serve as phosphoserine or phosphothreonine specific binding modules that recognize substrates phosphorylated by the kinases ATM and ATR in response to gamma irradiation.
