Scientific Data Images for Rat CXCL7/Thymus Chemokine-1 Antibody

Chemotaxis Induced by CXCL7/Thymus Chemokine-1 and Neutralization by Rat CXCL7/Thymus Chemokine-1 Antibody.

Chemotaxis Induced by CXCL7/Thymus Chemokine-1 and Neutralization by Rat CXCL7/Thymus Chemokine-1 Antibody.

Recombinant Rat CXCL7/Thymus Chemokine-1 (Catalog # 1116-CK) chemo-attracts the BaF3 mouse pro-B cell line transfected with human CXCR2 in a dose-dependent manner (orange line). The amount of cells that migrated through to the lower chemotaxis chamber was measured by Resazurin (Catalog # AR002). Chemotaxis elicited by Recombinant Rat CXCL7/Thymus Chemokine-1 (0.04 µg/mL) is neutralized (green line) by increasing concentrations of Goat Anti-Rat CXCL7/Thymus Chemokine-1 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF1116). The ND50 is typically 0.8-4.0 µg/mL.

Applications for Rat CXCL7/Thymus Chemokine-1 Antibody

Application
Recommended Usage

Immunohistochemistry

5-15 µg/mL
Sample: Perfusion fixed frozen sections of rat thymus

Western Blot

0.1 µg/mL
Sample: Recombinant Rat CXCL7/Thymus Chemokine-1 (Catalog # 1116-CK)

Neutralization

Measured by its ability to neutralize CXCL7/Thymus Chemokine-1-induced chemotaxis in the BaF3 mouse pro-B cell line transfected with human CXCR2. The Neutralization Dose (ND50) is typically 0.8-4.0 µg/mL in the presence of 0.04 µg/mL Recombinant Rat CXCL7/Thymus Chemokine-1.
Please Note: Optimal dilutions of this antibody should be experimentally determined.

Background: CXCL7/Thymus Chemokine-1

CXCL7 is a member of the alpha (CXC) subfamily of chemokines. Rat CXCL7 cDNA encodes a 111 amino acid residue precursor protein. Rat CXCL7 shares 72% amino acid sequence identity with mouse CXCL7 (accession number AAG36786). The recombinant rat CXCL7 produced by R&D Systems has been shown to chemoattract human CXCR2 transfected mouse BaF/3 cells, but not human CXCR1 transfected mouse BaF/3 cells.
