WB: Preliminary experiments gave an approx. 30 kDa band in human liver, lung and tonsil lysates after 1 ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 60.3 kDa band according to NP_001259.1. The 30 kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.

Background: RCBTB2

RCBTB2 is a gene that codes for a protein with two isoforms, with lengths of 551 and 527 amino acids and weights of approximately 60 and 58 kDa respectively. Current research is being done on diseases and disorders related to this gene including Williams-Beuren syndrome, prostate cancer, and prostatitis. RCBTB2 has also been shown to have interactions with COPS4.
