Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-SRPK2 antibody used for WB at 0.04 ug/ml (A) and 0.4 ug/ml (B) and used for IP at 3 ug/mg lysate. SRPK2 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-SRPK2 antibody BL8953, which recognizes an upstream epitope. Detection: Chemiluminescence with exposure times of 3 seconds (A and B).

Background: SRPK2

Serine/arginine rich protein-specific kinase 2 (SRPK2) phosphorylates RS domain-containing proteins, such as SFRS1 and SFRS2 on serine residues. SRPK2 plays a role in spliceosome assembly and in mediating the trafficking of splicing factors. SRPK2 also appears to mediate HBV core protein phosphorylation which is a prerequisite for pregenomic RNA encapsidation into viral capsids.
