Protein Array: TYRP1 Antibody (TYRP1/3280) - Azide and BSA Free [NBP2-79926] - Z- and S- Score: The Z-score represents the strength of a signal that a monoclonal antibody (mAb) (in combination with a fluorescently-tagged anti-IgG secondary antibody) produces when binding to a particular protein on the HuProtTM array. Z-scores are described in units of standard deviations (SD's) above the mean value of all signals generated on that array. If targets on HuProtTM are arranged in descending order of the Z-score, the S-score is the difference (also in units of SD's) between the Z-score. S-score therefore represents the relative target specificity of a mAb to its intended target. A mAb is considered to specific to its intended target, if the mAb has an S-score of at least 2.5. For example, if a mAb binds to protein X with a Z-score of 43 and to protein Y with a Z-score of 14, then the S-score for the binding of that Monoclonal Antibody to protein X is equal to 29.

Applications for TYRP1 Antibody (TYRP1/3280) - Azide and BSA Free

Application
Recommended Usage

ELISA

2-4 ug/ml

Immunohistochemistry

1-2 ug/ml

Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin

1-2 ug/ml
Application Notes
ELISA: Use Ab at 2-4ug/ml for coating. Order Ab without BSA.
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin-fixed): 1-2ug/ml for 30 minutes at RT. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10mM Tris with 1mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95C followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes.
Optimal dilution for a specific application should be determined.
Please Note: Optimal dilutions of this antibody should be experimentally determined.

Background: TYRP1

TYRP1 encodes a melanosomal enzyme that belongs to the tyrosinase family and plays an important role in the melanin biosynthetic pathway. Defects in this gene are the cause of rufous oculocutaneous albinism and oculocutaneous albinism type III. [provided by RefSeq]
