Xenopus Antibodies

Xenopus laevis is a popular model organism for gene and protein expression studies. In particular, X. laevis oocytes widely are used due to their relatively large size (1 mm diameter) and their readiness to culture for use in experiments. X. laevis has a tetraploid genome and takes 1 to 2 years to reach sexual maturity. Although it  does not exhibit the short generation time and genetic simplicity of many other model organisms, X. laevis does have a large and easily manipulatable embryo, making it an important model organism for developmental biology research.
