Coiled-coil-DIX1 (CCD1), also known as DIXDC1, is an 80 kDa cytoplasmic actin-binding protein that mediates Wnt signaling by interacting with Dishevelled and Axin. It is highly expressed during nervous system development. Mouse CCD1 contains a CH domain (aa 22-152), a coiled-coil domain (aa 279-452), and a DIX domain (aa 629-705). Multiple alternately spliced isoforms of mouse CCD1 are expressed in a tissue specific manner during development and in the adult.
