DNAM-1/CD226: Proteins and Enzymes
DNAX accessory molecule-1 (DNAM-1) is a 65 kDa typeI transmembrane glycoprotein and a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. DNAM-1 is constitutively expressed on a majority of T cells, NK cells and macrophages. DNAM-1 is a signal transducing adhesion molecule that is involved in the adhesion of certain tumor cells to CTL and NK cells and mediates their cytotoxicity.
