GAB3: Proteins and Enzymes
GAB3 (GRB2-associated-binding protein 3) is an approximately 75-80 kDa member of the GAB family of scaffolding proteins which show overlapping expression in hematopoietic cells. All contain an N-terminal pleckstrin homology domain and multiple tyrosine phosphorylation and SH2 and SH3 domain binding sites. M-CSF stimulation of myeloid precursors through M-CSF R co-induces GAB3 and the associated adaptor protein GRAP2, and causes macrophage differentiation associated with tyrosine phosphorylation of GAB3.
