GLI-1: Lysates
GLI family proteins are zinc finger transcription factors best known for regulating the expression of gene targets of Hedgehog (Hh) signaling. They share homology with the Drosophila Ci protein, which serves as a mediator of Hh responses in the fly. GLI-1 is a member of the Krupple family of zinc finger proteins. GLI-1 is activated by the sonic hedgehog pathway and influences transcription of a variety of target genes by binding to the consensus site 5CGGGTGGTC3. GLI- activation leads to cellular proliferation and anti-apoptotic activities based on target genes activated.
