HES-1: Lysates
HES-1 is a member of the basic helix-loop-helix O (bHLH-O) family of nuclear transcriptional repressors that function in maintaining the undifferentiated state of progenitor cells. HES-1 contains a bHLH DNA binding domain that can be blocked by serine phosphorylation, an orange domain required for homodimer and heterodimer formation, a proline-rich domain, a serine/threonine rich domain, and a WRPW motif for interaction with the Groucho co-repressor.
