Histone H1.3: Lysates

Histones are nuclear proteins that are responsible for the nucleosome structure of the chromosomal fiber as they play a critical role in transcription regulation, DNA repair, DNA replication, and chromosomal stability. The histone H1.3 protein is encoded by the HIST1H1D gene and is 221 amino acids long at 22 kDA. H1 histones are critical for the condensation of nucleosome chains into higher order structures. HIST1H1D participates in PKA signaling, cell cycle start of DNA replication in early S phase, apoptosis, and histone modification and is known to interact with genes LMNA, EP300, SUMO1, NOP56 and YWHAQ. Researchers have investigated its role in treacher collins syndrome, meningioma, typhoid fever, and crohn's disease.
