LH beta: ELISA Kits

Luteinizing Hormone (LH) is a glycoprotein hormone that contains a unique beta subunit and an alpha subunit that is also a component of Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH), Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH), and Chorionic Gonadotropin (CG).

LH is produced and secreted by the anterior pituitary gland under the control of Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone (GnRH) from the hypothalamus. In female reproduction, LH induces ovulation and formation of the corpus luteum by promoting progesterone production. It also induces secretion of sulfated DHEA by the adrenal gland and production of testosterone by Leydig cells in the testis.
