MRPS17: Proteins and Enzymes

MRPS17, also known as Mitochondrial Ribosomal Protein S17, consists of a 130 amino acid isoform that is 15 kDa, and is broadly involved in protein synthesis within the mitochondria, but its specific function is currently unknown. Research is not currently being done on the relationship between MRPS17 and any diseases or disorders. The protein is thought to be involved in the process of translation, and interacts with several other proteins, including ICT1, ESR1, PINX1, AARS2, and AASS.
