NLRP1/NALP1: Proteins and Enzymes
NAcht Leucine-rich repeat Protein 1 (NALP1), also known as CARD7, is a widely expressed cytosolic member of the NLRP family of proteins. NALP1 is a component of the inflammasome and promotes proIL-1 beta cleavage and release of active IL-1 beta. NALP1 contains an N-terminal Pryin domain followed by a Nacht region, seven LRRs, and a C-terminal CARD domain.
