OR1E1: Proteins and Enzymes

OR1E1, also known as Olfactory receptor 1E1, is a 35.3 kDa, 314 amino acid protein that is involved in recognition and transduction of olfactory signals in order to initiate the perception of smell. Diseases such as neuronitis are being researched with the protein. The protein interacts with GNAL, ADRBK2, and ARRB2 in GPCR downstream signaling and olfactory transduction pathways.
