ZAP70: Proteins and Enzymes
ZAP70 is a cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase that is essential for TCR signal transduction. It is expressed in T and NK cells, associates with the TCR zeta chain, and is phosphorylated upon TCR stimulation. This activates ZAP70, which subsequently interacts with several Sh2 or PTB-containing adaptors and enzymes such as Vav, Shc Abl and Lck.
