Description

Store vial at 4C prior to restoration. For extended storage aliquot contents and freeze at -20C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.

This antibody (GOAT) Antibody is an IgG fraction antibody purified from monospecific antiserum by a multi-step process which includes delipidation, salt fractionation and ion exchange chromatography followed by extensive dialysis against the buffer stated above. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Biotin, anti-Goat Serum as well as purified and partially purified Carbonic Anhydrase I [Human Erythrocytes]

ELISA: Carbonic Anhydrase I/CA1 Antibody [Biotin] [NBP1-77740] - ELISA Results of Goat Carbonic Anhydrase I/CA1/CA1 antibody [Biotin] tested against purified Carbonic Anhydrase I/CA1 Biotin. Each well was coated in duplicate with 1.0 ug of Carbonic Anhydrase I/CA1. The working dilution is 1:6900. The starting dilution of antibody was 5ug/ml and the X-axis represents the Log10 of a 3-fold dilution. This titration is a 4-parameter curve fit where the IC50 is defined as the titer of the antibody. Assay performed using HRP Conjugate Stabilizer, Streptavidin-HRP conjugated, and TMB substrate.

Applications for Carbonic Anhydrase I/CA1 Antibody [Biotin]

Application
Recommended Usage

ELISA

1:20000 - 1:100000

Western Blot

1:2000 - 1:10000
Application Notes
This product has been tested by ELISA and western blot. This product is assayed against 1.0 ug of Carbonic Anhydrase I in a standard capture ELISA using Peroxidase Conjugated Streptavidin and ABTS (2,2'-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature. A working dilution of 1:4,000 to 1:20,000 of the reconstitution concentration is suggested for this product. Specific conditions should be optimized by researcher.
Please Note: Optimal dilutions of this antibody should be experimentally determined.

Background: Carbonic Anhydrase I/CA1

Carbonic anhydrase performs an important role in respiration by facilitating transfer of CO2. Carbonic Anhydrase I (CAI) is a single polypeptide chain metalloenzyme of molecular weight 29 kDa. It is present mainly in erythrocytes at a concentration of about 12 mg per gram haemoglobin. Its main enzyme function is to catalyse the reversible hydration of carbon dioxide. It also catalyses the hydrolysis of certain esters. The twelve active CA isozymes are thought to regulate a variety of cellular functions including several processes in the reproductive systems. A mutational deficiency has been described but patients exhibit no adverse chemical symptoms. Red cell CAI levels are decreased in patients with thyrotoxicosis.
