Background: IGDCC3

IGDCC3 (Immunoglobulin superfamily DCC subclass member 3), also known as Punc, is 814 aa single-pass type I transmembrane protein that shares 91% aa sequence identity with mouse IGDCC3 in the extracellular domain.  It is a member of the neural cell adhesion molecule family and contains two fibronectin type III repeats and four immunoglobulin-like domains.  IDGCC3 is high expressed in the brain, and has been suggested to play a role in motor coordination.  It has also been suggested to play a role in breast cancer.
