Scientific Data Images for Human LRP-1 Intracellular Domain Antibody

Detection of Human LRP-1 antibody by Western Blot.

Detection of Human LRP-1 by Western Blot.

Western blot shows lysates of human liver tissue. PVDF Membrane was probed with 2 µg/mL of Human LRP-1 Intracellular Domain Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB6360) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF007). A specific band was detected for LRP-1 at approximately 90 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.
LRP-1 antibody in HepG2 Human Cell Line by Immunocytochemistry (ICC).

LRP‑1 in HepG2 Human Cell Line.

LRP-1 was detected in immersion fixed HepG2 human hepatocellular carcinoma cell line using Mouse Anti-Human LRP-1 Intracellular Domain Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB6360) at 3 µg/mL for 3 hours at room temperature. Cells were stained using the NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (red; Catalog # NL007) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Specific staining was localized to cytoplasm and nuclei. View our protocol for Fluorescent ICC Staining of Cells on Coverslips.
LRP-1 antibody in Human Liver by Immunohistochemistry (IHC-P).

LRP‑1 in Human Liver.

LRP-1 was detected in immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of human liver using Mouse Anti-Human LRP-1 Intracellular Domain Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB6360) at 5 µg/mL for 1 hour at room temperature followed by incubation with the Anti-Mouse IgG VisUCyte™ HRP Polymer Antibody (Catalog # VC001). Tissue was stained using DAB (brown) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). Specific staining was localized to cytoplasm in hepatocytes. View our protocol for IHC Staining with VisUCyte HRP Polymer Detection Reagents.

Background: LRP-1

LRP-1 (low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 1) is a large type I transmembrane protein belonging to the LDL receptor superfamily. The extracellular domain of LRP-1 is organized in four clusters of ligand-binding repeats that recognizes at least 30 different ligands. The amino acid sequence of human and mouse LRP-1 cluster II share 100% identity. LRP-1 is an endocytic receptor involved in endocytosis and in phagocytosis of apoptotic cells. It plays a crucial role in early embryonic development.
