Scientific Data Images for Human/Mouse/Rat HSPA2 Antibody
Detection of Human, Mouse, and Rat HSPA2 by Western Blot.
Western blot shows lysates of Jurkat human acute T cell leukemia cell line, NIH-3T3 mouse embryonic fibroblast cell line, and C6 rat glioma cell line. PVDF Membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Mouse Anti-Human/Mouse/Rat HSPA2 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB6010) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF007). A specific band was detected for HSPA2 at approximately 70 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 2.Applications for Human/Mouse/Rat HSPA2 Antibody

Background: HSPA2
Heat shock protein A2 (HSPA2), also known as HSP70.2, is a 70 kDa testis specific protein. HSPA2 is required for spermatogenesis and functions as a chaperone for the spermatid DNA packaging proteins TP1 and TP2. HSPA2 is also expressed in cancer cells where it is normally localized to the cytoplasm but migrates to the nucleus during heat shock. Within aa 529‑616, human HSP70A2 shares 99% aa sequence identity with mouse and rat HSPA2.
