Scientific Data Images for Human/Mouse/Rat PLC-gamma 1 Antibody
Detection of Human/Mouse/Rat PLC-gamma 1 by Western Blot.
Western blot shows lysates of HeLa human cervical epithelial carcinoma cell line, HepG2 human hepatocellular carcinoma cell line, NIH-3T3 mouse embryonic fibroblast cell line, and mouse brain tissue. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Human/Mouse/Rat PLC- gamma1 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB32881) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Rat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF005). A specific band was detected for PLC- gamma1 at approximately 120 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.Applications for Human/Mouse/Rat PLC-gamma 1 Antibody

Background: PLC-gamma 1
PLC-gamma 1 (phospholipase C-gamma 1) cleaves the polar head group from the membrane lipid phosphatidyl-inositol 4,5-biphosphate. The consequence of this reaction is the generation of two secondary messengers, inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate and diacylglycerol, which mediate the mobilization of intracellular calcium and the activation of protein kinase C, respectively. Members of the PLC family are regulated by different signaling pathways. PLC-gamma 1 is regulated through receptor and non-receptor tyrosine kinases, while the PLC-beta isoforms are regulated by G-protein coupled receptors.
