Specificity

SDNSF, also known as MCFD2 (Multiple Coagulation Factor Deficiency 2), was first identified as a secreted molecule that functions as an autocrine/paracrine factor to maintain neurogenesis in the central nervous system. It is also a component of a complex that transports proteins from the ER to the Golgi.
