The highly specific and sensitive miRNAscope™ Assay has been developed by ACD, a Bio-Techne brand, to detect small RNAs with spatial and morphological context at single-cell resolution. Leveraging our RNAscope™ core technology, the miRNAscope Assay is designed to enable detection of small RNAs including, antisense oligonucleotides (ASOs), microRNAs (miRNAs), small interfering RNAs (siRNAs), and other smaller RNAs of 17-50 bases.
Product Line Features
- While microarrays and PCR both provide useful molecular profiles of diseases, important clinically relevant cell and tissue context information is lost along with the spatial variation of gene expression patterns which is maintained and captured using miRNAscope.
- miRNAscope is used to detect and identify cellular subtypes, visualize gene regulation with morphology, validate miRNA biomarkers in intact tissues, assess small RNA therapeutic delivery mechanisms, or evaluate biodistribution and efficacy of therapies.
miRNAscope Chromogenic Assays
- miRNAscope HD Assay Red enables the detection of miRNAscope, siRNAscope, and ASOs in a manual chromogenic workflow.
- miRNAscope LS Reagent Kit Red enables the detection of miRNAscope, siRNAscope, and ASOs on the Leica Biosystems BOND RX research staining platform in an automated chromogenic workflow.
RNAscope Plus
The RNAscope Plus smRNA-RNA assays use a proprietary method of in situ hybridization (ISH) to simultaneously visualize one smRNA target, microRNAs (miRNAs), PIWI-interacting RNAs (piRNAs), short interfering RNAs (siRNAs), or antisense oligonucleotides (ASOs) along with three RNA targets.
- RNAscope Plus smRNA-RNA Assay enables miRNA, siRNA, and ASO detection in a manual fluorescent workflow.
- RNAscope Plus smRNA-RNA LS Assay enables miRNA, siRNA, and ASO detection on the Leica Biosystems BOND RX research staining platform in an automated fluorescent workflow.
App Note: Expression of mature microRNAs in diabetic kidney disease (DKD) tissue
Expression of mature microRNAs, miR-1287-5p, and miR-658 is upregulated in diabetic kidney disease (DKD) tissues.
